FCMS Guidance Office

Guidance - Our Guidance Office consists of Shandra English, Guidance Counselor, Trudy Smith, Guidance Counselor,

Sarah Tipton, Student Information Specialist, and Anthony Walden who is our School Resource Officer.

The Guidance Department is first and foremost focused on our student’s safety, achievement, social skills, attendance, and positive behavior by:

    Anti Bullying Guidance – This is done at least one time each semester in every classroom using a researched based curriculum.
    Advisement – takes place throughout the school year with a variety of monthly small group activities along with GACollege411 career based activities which are completed in the computer lab.
    Individual Sessions – services provided as needed.
    Small Group Counseling Sessions – provided to enhance specific developmental areas as needed.
    Intervention – offered for academic success
    PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) – School wide discipline program which encourages students to reach our school expectations. Rewards are given on a daily basis which include Rebel Passes, Snow Cone/Popcorn, extra break and special events.

 Other Services such as our clothing closet, Snack in a Backpack Program, and School Supplies are offered to our students based on need.
